On July 25, 2019, Japanese cultural industries Seminar was held at JETRO Shanghai and was on live broadcast at Tokyo, Beijing, and Guangzhou simutaneously. Representatives from more than 20 Chinese and Japanese organizations and enterprises including the Japanese Embassy, JETRO Shanghai, the Visual Industry Promotion Organization of Japan, and the Secretariat of the Organizing Committee of Yangtze River Delta International Cultural Industries Expo (hereinafter referred as YRDICIE) were present at the seminar to exchange about the development opportunities and prospects of the cultural industries in both countries.

During the conference, professor Hua Jian from the Cultural Industries Research Center of Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences delivered a speech titled “YRDICIE: A Precious Opportunity for Japan-China Cooperation on Cultural Industries”. He introduced the upcoming 2nd YRDICIE to the guests, focused on elaborating the current development of Chinese cultural industries, and invited Japanese organizations and enterprises related to cultural industries to attend the YRDICIE this year.

The attendees were so intrigued by Professor Hua’s speech that they actively exchanged ideas and were eager to know more details about how Japanese enterprises participate in the YRDICIE and the development of Chinese cultural industries. They expressed their interest in following up on the YRDICIE as well as their willingness to support and participate in it.

The seminar deepened the communication and understanding between Chinese and Japanese cultural industries and enhanced the brand influence of the YRDICIE, which, offering a great opportunity, will promote more effectively the cooperation and development of both sides’ cultural industries.
